Ectoin, a novel amino acid derivative of water-soluble amphoteric ions discovered in 1985. It is an important substance for maintaining osmotic pressure balance. Its unique molecular structure has a strong ability to complex water molecules, structuring free water in cells, making it an excellent natural moisturizer. It can fight against UV damage to the skin and repair cellular DNA damage caused by UV rays.
